A skin rash can be a real problem. Besides having an undesired appearance, they can cause a lot of pain and they also can itch. Different types of rashes can look very different. Occasionally they appear in the form of red spots or blisters, swollen areas, patches that look like bruises, etc. But no matter what it looks like, a rash is only the consequence of another problem. Rosacea is a constant condition that has as its main symptoms redness and pimples. Generally, the areas affected by Rosacea are the forehead, face chin and nose, but it can also appear on the neck, ears, chest and scalp. Perment redness is the main aspect of the rash caused by Rosacea but if the case aggravates, small red bumps can appear and the patient may suffer a burning and stinging sensation.
Acne, according to a medical dictionary is a 'Localized skin inflammation as a result of over activity of the oil glands at the base of hair follicles. Acne happens when oil (sebaceous) glands come to life around puberty, when these glands are stimulated by male hormones that are produced in the adrenal glands of both boys and girls'. It is the normal skin bacteria that multiplies because of this overproduction of oil and causes the inflammation in the surrounding areas. Teenagers are the most afflicted by Acne, and it generally affects them on the face, the back and chest. It can emerge as whiteheads, black heads, sore red bumps and cysts, which are pimples that go deeper than usual.
Cellulitis is a bacterial infection of the skin and the tissues beneath the skin. Even the deepest layers of the skin can be affected by this condition. This infection generally starts with mild swelling and redness but if the bacteria proliferates, then the red area enlarges and a person may develop a fever and swollen nodes around the area. Cellulitis generally appears around a cut, skin breach or a scrape, especially around the leg area, arms, head and neck area
Actinic Keratosis is also known as Solar Keratosis because it is developed by too much sun exposure. Actinic Keratosis could be a precancerous illness and it must be taken seriously. It affects the face, scalp and the back of the hands and they tend to be scaly patches in pink or gray and also bumps can be formed. It is a serious condition because it could be the warning stage for skin cancer. Most of the time it is treated with medicine prescribed by a dermatologist and using a biological skin moisturizer helps as well.
